The VetweRx Equine History
VetweRx Equine was founded in 2011 by Dr. Jamie Yurek. Jamie grew up in Boulder County and was involved in the equine industry at a young age. While still in high school, he helped build and manage his family’s cutting horse operation, Quail Ridge, located on Lookout Road. It was a premier facility for breeding, training, and showing cutting horses.
Looking to return to the area after graduation from the CSU College of Veterinary Medicine, Jamie joined Boulder Valley Veterinary Clinic. It wasn’t long until his entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and he launched VetweRx Equine.

We Are Excited to Announce that Our Full Surgical Suite is Now Open!
We're thrilled to be able to offer additional elective surgeries including orthopedic and soft tissue procedures, reproductive procedures, upper airway surgery, abdominal wall procedures as well as corrective procedures for angular limb deformities.
Thanks to an exciting partnership with Glenmoor Farms, VetweRx North has a hospital location just west of Longmont, CO. What started as a 10-stall clinic, has now developed into a state-of-the-art 40,000 square foot multi-faceted facility. With this new space, we have been able to greatly expand our critical care, advanced lameness diagnostics, surgical, rehabilitation, reproduction, and treatment services.
VetweRx South now has a physical location in Sedalia. While we still offer mobile veterinary services across the area, we are excited to welcome clients and their horses to our new facility. We offer breeding and reproductive services, as well as wound management when wounds cannot be effectively or safely managed on your farm. While our location might be new, our commitment to providing the gold standard of horse care has not changed.
