About the Hospital

About the Hospital

Thanks to an exciting partnership with Glenmoor Farms, VetweRx Equine now has a physical hospital just west of Longmont, CO. Our ten-stall hospital is located on this historic Boulder County property at 7171 Pike Road. The fully equipped facility is a horseman’s paradise with large heated stalls, climate-controlled treatment areas, on-site laboratory, video camera monitoring and access to both an indoor arena and euroxciser. With this space, we can expand our core services of critical care, reproduction, and advanced lameness diagnosis and treatment.

Hospital Services

Critical Care

Critical Care

VetweRx Equine now offers overnight treatment and longer-term observation for non-surgical colics, wound care, and non-infectious emergencies. Critical care stalls offer real-time video and NIGHTWATCH Smart Halter ™ monitoring to allow us to observe patients throughout the night. Continuous IV fluid therapy, pain management, and hands-on monitoring are provided under the supervision of the on-call veterinarian. With a full laboratory and array of diagnostic equipment on site, we provide comprehensive care and diagnosis.

Reproduction

Reproduction

VetweRx Equine's assisted reproductive services are now available in one centralized facility. Mares are boarded in heated and lighted stalls to optimize cycling. Mare management and Artificial Insemination are safely performed in breeding stocks. Semen analysis with iSperm ™ in our on-site laboratory allows us to handle both fresh cooled and frozen semen. Embryo flushing is also available with embryos shipped to the transfer site of your choice.

Foaling

VetweRx Equine now provides foaling services with two oversized foaling stalls. Expectant mares are monitored with cameras, the Foalert ™ system, and NIGHTWATCH Smart Halter ™. The foaling package includes Foalert monitor installation, veterinarian attended foaling, post-partum mare and foal exams, and Serum Amyloid A and IgG testing of the foal to screen for infection and transfer of passive immunity.

Advanced Lameness

VetweRx Equine can now receive complicated lameness cases that require more time-consuming workups and longer-term therapies. On-site boarding and indoor arena space provide a clean, climate-controlled environment for comprehensive evaluations. Diagnostic and treatment areas equipped with digital radiography and ultrasonagraphy are available with rubber footing for safety. Patients requiring advanced diagnostics such as MRI, CT, and Nuclear Scintigraphy as well as orthopedic surgeries can be transferred to CSU and returned to our hospital for aftercare and regenerative therapies when warranted. The on-site laboratory allows us to process IRAP, PRP, and Pro-Stride ™ and we continue to work with Regenerative Cell Specialists for stem cell processing. Horses under our care also have access to the Euroxciser and indoor arena for rehabilitation following treatment. The farm has a fleet of transports available to move horses where they need to go.
